Lost Norwegians in Chicago?
An article in yesterday's RedEye edition of the Chicago Tribune raises the question: Are Norwegians lost in Chicago or are they just trying to plan their summer vacations here? Yes folks, we can find out exactly where the nearest bus is for almost half the routes in Chicago now using our cell phones, which comes in very handy when it's -7 F outside (-22 C), which is tonight's forecast.

Nordic tracker?
Say what? Norwegians are
apparently fascinated with the
comings and goings of CTA buses.
The CTA Bus Tracker Web site has
received 15,395 visits since last year
from people in Norway or whose
computers or personal wireless
devices were registered there,
according to the agency’s tech
gurus—more than any other country
outside the U.S.
Meanwhile, 11 more bus routes
will be added to ctabustracker.com
starting Jan. 26, transit officials said
Monday, bring the total to 86 of the
CTA’s 153 bus routes.
They include the No. 3-King Drive,
No. 4-Cottage Grove, No. 22-Clark,
No. 36-Broadway, No. 49B-North
Western, No. 82-Kimball/Homan and
No. 93-California/Dodge.
