Ouch! $3.05 per gallon!
I just paid $3.05 per gallon of unleaded regular (you don't want to know what the premium was!). This is going to be a painful summer...

I saw an article on CNN/Money the other day about the prices being elevated because of continued troubles in Iraq, a refinery explosion somewhere in Africa, and other stuff. We thought last fall's prices, related to the post-Katrina disruption in Gulf oil, pipelines, and refineries, was temporary. I guess that was just a portent of things to come... Today CNN's talking about how Iran maybe-thinking-about-someday-getting-the-bomb is causing "chaos" in the oil prices! And then there are all those new Chinese drivers. I guess it's time to tune up my old bicycle. ;-)
