Google Maps MARS!

Google had this cute logo on their website, with the tag referencing "Percival Lowell" (who first mapped Mars in 1895), but, when you click, you're taken to the new Google Mars map site! You can view the red planet by elevation (topographic), infrared or visible light, and can locate the landing sites of the dozen or so satellites sent to explore Mars. Way to go, Google!

If you read the "About Google Mars" link on the site you'll have a chance to preview the fly-through type of image you get with the Google Earth software by going to this 3-D fly-through movie of Valles Marineris (caution-it's a ~100MB movie file!).
