ABC News: Renowned Bird Flu Expert Warns: Be Prepared
This expert predicts there's a 50:50 chance that avian flu will mutate into a form that can be transmitted from human to human. It has already killed over one hundred humans (bird to human transmission only so far). Avian flu will be in Alaska soon, then will work its way down to the lower 48 within months. Okay, now I'm starting to get scared!
