US company builds seven-foot wide coffin - Yahoo! News
This is just sad.... This coffin was built for a 900-pound man who died in Alaska. This reminds me of Israel Kamakawiwo'ole, the gentle Hawaiian musician who played his ukulele and sang "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" so hauntingly (used in several movies including "Finding Forrester" and "Meet Joe Black"; hear an excerpt). He weighed approximately 800 pounds when he died of respiratory failure. What a loss, and how sad they both got to this point. What more can we say?

An employee works on the interior of a 48-inch oversized coffin made out of 20-gauge.... (see the full story for details).
