Whew, what a day!
Yesterday we received some bad news and some good news. First, the bad....

Laurie's brother, Dave, was in a serious car crash. Another driver swerved across the line and hit him head-on. The other driver was killed, and Dave suffered pretty severe injuries to his legs. He is recovering from surgery to put pins and plates in his legs to try to restore shattered bones & joints, and has a lot of rehabilitation and recovery ahead, but he is alive.

On a much lighter note, Kim got some good news last night that she has made the cast for the New Trier production of Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost. She'll be busy, staying at school for over 11 hours a day until their performance in April. She'll post updates as soon as possible. Feb 1st Update- Dave had surgery to rebuild his foot, ankle, knees and long bones in his legs. He'll be in the hospital until Thursday, then will need lots of time for rehabilitation.
